Committed to Safeguarding everyone
Most first aid courses assume that professional help is only minutes away. But out on Dartmoor, deep in the forest, or on a remote worksite, emergency and rescue services may take much longer to reach you. That’s why every First Aid 4 Life course is built around The 3 Hour Standard — preparing you to care for a casualty for three hours while help is on its way.
Through realistic, practical training, you’ll learn how to respond quickly, protect a casualty from further harm, monitor their condition and provide ongoing support in challenging environments, often with limited or depleted equipment. Just as importantly, you’ll develop the confidence to make sound decisions, understand the limits of your role and communicate clearly when handing over to emergency professionals. Because when help is a long way off, knowing what to do — and how to keep doing it — can make all the difference.
Every employer has a legal duty to provide the right level of first aid, but working out what that looks like isn’t always simple. That’s where we come in.
For just £99, one of our experienced trainers will carry out a First Aid Needs Assessment for your business. We’ll look at your workplace, your team and the risks you face, then give you clear, practical recommendations on how many first aiders you need, which training is right, and what first aid kit and equipment to have in place.
And if you go on to book an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course with us, we’ll give a free place on the course.

Training Providers have to show an employer that they are competent to deliver first-aid training and have the relevant quality assurance procedures in place. First Aid 4 Life are a ‘Training Centre’ recognised by an ‘Awarding Organisation’ (AO), in our case ITC First and Qualsafe Awards, who are regulated by the qualification regulators, Ofqual and SQA Accreditation, against standards for the design, delivery and award of qualifications. As part of the regulated standards, AOs must have dedicated quality assurance processes to approve and monitor their recognised training centres. Also, the qualifications regulators stipulate that AOs and their training centres must work in compliance with the Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications, which have been developed by Skills for Health. Employers selecting first aid training providers are advised by the HSE to document checks undertaken to confirm the competence of a training provider. However, due to Awarding Organisations offering ‘regulated qualifications’ the HSE go on to assure employers that they do not have to satisfy themselves of the competency of that organisation. We can therefore demonstrate and more importantly evidence that First Aid 4 Life provide fully regulated qualifications that satisfy All of the above requirements and No ‘due diligence’ is required.
